How to Block (or unlock) your Westpac card

Blocking your card is important if you think it’s lost, stolen, or being used without your permission. Here’s how to block your credit or debit card:

Via Phone:

  1. Call the customer service number on 009 61 2 9155 7700
  2. Navigate the phone menu to reach the card services section.
  3. Select the option to block your card and provide the necessary details when prompted.

In the Westpac App

  1. Search Lock card in the search bar on the home screen
  2. Select the card you want to lock
  3. Tap the Lock card temporarily button

Simply tap the same button to unlock your card that you used to lock it.

 

In Online Banking

  1. Go to Service > Card services
  2. Select Lock a card temporarily
  3. Select the card, then select Lock

Simply follow the same steps, and in step 3, select Unlock.

In Person:

  1. Visit your nearest bank branch.
  2. Talk to a customer service representative and inform them that you want to block your card.
  3. You might need to fill out a form and provide identification.

How to Unlocking westpac Card:

Your card will automatically unlock after 15 days. You can unlock your card at any time if you find it before the 15 days is up

How to cancel westpac card and order a replacement:

Whenever you misplace your card or when its stolen you can easily cancel the card and request for another new card by following the steps below:

1. logged in to enter an online or mobile app, then scroll to the bottom of the Accounts screen and click on ‘Manage my Cards’
2. Tap the card you would like to manage
3.Select ‘Lost or stolen card’
4.tap ‘Lost’ or ‘Stolen’
5.select ‘Cancel and replace’
6.Click ‘Confirm’
