The Westpac online banking and Mobile App enable customers to temporarily block cards and unblock your card instantly if it’s been lost, but when you find your card, you can simply unblock it.

You can also cancel your card and the bank will immediately stop all transactions and order a new one through Westpac online and mobile banking without visiting the banking hall.

How to Block (or unlock) your credit or debit card

If you cannot find your credit or debit card, you can temporarily block it in Westpac online banking If you have a personal account and are registered for Online Banking or the Westpac App, you can lock or unlock your card online.

In the Westpac App

1.Tap Cards in the bar menu
2.Swipe to select the card
3.Tap the Lock card temporarily or to ‘Off’ to unblock this card.

 

In Westpac Online Banking

1.Go to Service > Services
2.Select Card Services > Lock a card temporarily
3.Select the card, then select Lock

What if I am not registered for Online Banking?

If you are not registered for Online Banking simply visit the nearest branch to report or call or register for online banking immediately. Also you can call Westpac bank from the following numbers.

How to cancel your card and order a replacement:

Whenever you misplace your card or when its stolen you can easily cancel the card and request for another new card by following the steps below:

1. logged in to enter an online or mobile app, then scroll to the bottom of the Accounts screen and click on ‘Manage my Cards’
2. Tap the card you would like to manage
3.Select ‘Lost or stolen card’
4.tap ‘Lost’ or ‘Stolen’
5.select ‘Cancel and replace’
6.Click ‘Confirm’
