How To Check If MTN, Airtel, Etisalat, Glo SIM card Is Registered

Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC has order telecommunications operators in the country to block all SIM cards not registered with National Identification Numbers (NIN.

The Commission believes that a lot of unresolved crimes are committed with unregistered SIM cards. Therefore, drastic measures have now become inevitable to improve the integrity and transparency of the SIM registration process IN Nigeria.

Well, just because you have been to the registration center to register your SIM, does not mean you have been registered. There are some instances where registrations are invalid.

If you have already done your registration but still want to be sure that you have been registered, here is what you can do:

How to check if your MTN sim is register

MTN – dial *789*1#

OR

Send REG as a message to 789 from your MTN SIM card, you will get a reply confirming that you have been registered if it was actually registered, otherwise, you get a “not registered” message.

 

How to confirm if your Airtel sim is register

Airtel – dial *746#

OR

Call 111 on your phone also you can send email to customercare@ng.airtel.com to comfirmed if your phone number is properly registered.

How to confirm if your 9mobile/etisalat sim is register

9mobile – dial 746 or 200

Etisalat customers can also call their customer care via 200 or sending an email to care@etisalat.com.ng

Glo – text REG to 746 or 3456 once done you will message showing Your SIMCARD 07059251175 has been registered. Thank You!
