Westpac – How to send and Transfer money, Deposit Cheque and Pay bills

With Westpac  online banking and mobile App, you can easily send or transfer money via your tablet or on your phone, you can also send money overseas using Online Banking,It also offers smart and secure ways to deposit mobile cheque up to $20,000

To deposit a cheque, you need to sign in to the Westpac App, take a photo of the front and back of your cheque and submit the images. The funds will usually clear in your nominated transaction account within three business days.

You can also pay bills by Phone Banking, Online Banking, or in the Westpac App.However,you can easily Store biller details so you can quickly pay next time including phone, electricity and water bills.

How to Deposit cheques using your smartphone

You can deposit a cheque up to $20,000 through westpac mobile app, customers can deposit more than 5 cheques at a- go , all you need is to take a photo of the front and back of your cheque and submit the images. The funds will usually clear in your nominated transaction account within three business days.

Steps to deposit cheque with Westpac mobile app

You can make use of New Westpac App and Classic Westpac App to deposit cheque

Classic Westpac App

1. Tap Self serve in the menu bar

2. Scroll down to Account services then tap Cheque deposit

3. Enter the cheque amount and select the account. Photograph the front and back of the cheque using your smartphone and tap Submit

1. Search Deposit cheque in the Smart Search bar

2. Enter the cheque amount and select the account.

3. Take a clear Photo of the front and back of the cheque using your smartphone and tap Submit.

 

How to send or transfer money online

You can smart and securely send or transfer money with Westpac bank online, on tablet or on your phone. You can either transfer funds to your own accounts, Pay Anyone (including payments to a PayID), International payments , Recurring payments to people and accounts you pay regularly and using BPAY .

How to send money overseas

You can Transfer money abroad 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with Westpac Online Banking. You will need the following information at hand to enable send international oversea

1.SWIFT code of the foreign bank
2.A Westpac bank account that is registered for Online Banking and Westpac Protect SMS Code.
3.Details of the person receiving the money, such as their name, address, the name of their
bank, branch address, and their account number.

What do you need to provide the sender to receive money from overseas?

. Account name.
. Account number.
. BSB (bank state branch number).
.Westpac’s SWIFT code – WPACAU2S.

 

How to transfer money from Westpac  bank

You can transfer either In the Westpac App, In the Westpac iPad App or In Online Banking depend on the choice that fit your needs.

 

Transfer with  Westpac iPad App

1.To transfer money via Westpac iPad App simply Tap the account you wish to transfer From
2.Drag and drop the From account onto the To account. A blue coin will appear.
3.Enter the Amount, Description (optional) and Payment date
4.Tap Transfer funds

Transfer with  Westpac App

You can also transfer funds using In the Westpac mobile App, all you need is to Drag and drop from the Quick View screen before signing in or from your account dashboard
2.Enter the Amount and tap Today to enter the payment date and frequency
3.Tap Done
4.Tap Transfer to pay now or Schedule to pay later

Transfer with Westpac Online Banking

To send money with Westpac Online Banking….. Go to Payments > Transfer funds
2. Select the account to transfer From
3. Select the account to transfer To
4. Enter the Amount, Date and Frequency
5. Select Continue
6. Review your funds transfer details and select Confirm

How to Pay bills with Westpac BPAY

Westpac App

1.You can pay with mobile app by Searching BPAY® in the Smart Search bar
2.Tap Pay payees & billers
3.Tap Billers to view BPAY® billers or tap Add to add a new BPAY biller
4.Follow the prompts to complete your payment

Online Banking

1.To pay bills with Westpac Online Banking Go to Payments > Make a payment
2.Under Pay to, select BPAY®
3.Select an existing biller from the drop-down menu or select Pay new payee to add a new biller
4.To add a new biller, enter the Biller code located on your bill and select Look up biller
5.Select the biller code from drop-down menu

6.Then Enter your Customer reference number located on your bill
7.In From account select the account you want to pay from and then enter a description that will appear on your statement
8.Enter the payment amount and select the payment date
9.Choose the payment frequency and select Continue
10.Review your payment details and when you’re ready, select Confirm
